Terms and conditions
Last updated 15 October 2026
1. About these terms
- 1.1These terms apply to every reservation made on this website and every sale made by Pataka Point ("we", "us") when you collect. By placing a reservation you agree to them.
- 1.2We may change these terms at any time. The terms that apply are those shown here when you place your reservation.
2. Reservations
- 2.1A reservation holds the items and collection slot shown for you to buy in store. It is not a purchase: the sale is made, and the contract between us is formed, only when you pay at collection.
- 2.2Until then we may decline or cancel any reservation, in whole or in part, for any reason, including limited or damaged stock, an error in a price or description, a suspected breach of these terms, or where a sale would not be allowed by law. If we do, we will try to let you know, and you will have paid nothing.
- 2.3We may limit the quantity of any product a customer can reserve or buy.
3. Prices, offers and discount codes
- 3.1Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies.
- 3.2If a price or description is shown in error, we are not obliged to sell at that price, even after a reservation is placed.
- 3.3Offers and discount codes are available for a limited time, while stocks last and subject to their own conditions. They cannot be exchanged for cash, combined unless we say so, or applied after a sale is made, and we may change or withdraw them at any time.
4. Collection
- 4.1Please collect from the branch you chose during your collection slot. Reservations not collected within 24 hours of the slot may be cancelled without notice and the items returned to sale.
- 4.2Please bring your reservation number. We may ask for proof that the reservation is yours.
- 4.3Collection slots depend on staff and stock. We may move or cancel a slot if we have to, and will tell you if we do.
5. Fireworks and age-restricted products
- 5.1Fireworks are sold only to adults aged 18 or over. You must complete the age check when you reserve and show valid photo ID when you collect.
- 5.2We will refuse a sale, without refund of anything already paid for those items, if valid ID is not shown, if we believe the products are being bought for someone under 18, or if the person collecting appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- 5.3Most fireworks can only be sold during the selling periods the law allows. Some products can therefore only be reserved and collected on certain dates.
- 5.4You are responsible for storing, transporting and using fireworks safely, lawfully and as the instructions on each product say, including any rules on when and where they may be let off.
6. Sweets and food
- 6.1Our sweets are made to order. Once we have started making an order it cannot be changed, and we may decline future reservations from customers who do not collect.
- 6.2Our sweets may contain or have been in contact with nuts, milk, gluten, sesame and other allergens. If you have an allergy or intolerance, ask us before you order. We cannot accept responsibility for reactions where we were not told before ordering.
- 6.3Please store sweets as advised and eat them within the time we give you.
7. Payment
- 7.1You pay in full at collection. Items stay ours until they are paid for in full.
- 7.2Once you have paid and collected the items, responsibility for them passes to you.
8. No returns
- 8.1Please check your items at the counter before you leave. We do not accept returns, exchanges or give refunds for change of mind once items have been collected.
- 8.2For safety reasons fireworks cannot be returned or resold once they have left our premises, and sweets are perishable and made to order.
- 8.3This does not affect your statutory rights. If an item is faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, tell us as soon as possible, ideally before you leave, and keep the item and your proof of purchase. We may inspect the item and, where the law requires, will repair, replace or refund it.
9. Our responsibility to you
- 9.1We are not responsible for any loss or damage caused by fireworks being stored, handled or used other than as their instructions say, or by your failure to follow these terms.
- 9.2We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- 9.3Where we are responsible, our total liability is limited to the price you paid for the items concerned.
- 9.4Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
10. Using this website
- 10.1We try to keep the website accurate and available but do not promise that it always will be. Pictures are for illustration; packaging and products may differ slightly.
- 10.2We use the details you give us to manage your reservation and to send you messages about it.
11. General
- 11.1If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- 11.2If we do not enforce any of these terms straight away, we can still enforce them later.
- 11.3These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
